Captain Argus has been fond of Ariana ever since she was a little girl vacationing with her family in Crete. When Ariana returned to Crete to recover from the death of her husband Pierre, he took care of her at his cottage. It was only natural for her to invite him to join her in the Elysia adventure. Captain Argus moved from Crete to Sausalito and became the skipper of the Iris. His English is not perfect, but he gets by.
