9/11 Response

Peaceful Tomorrows - Close relatives of the victims of 9/11 seek effective nonviolent responses to terrorism. They ask that we respond to the tragedy by reflecting on peace and healing. The site promotes events that honor the universality of grief and the hope for a peaceful world.

United Events for Peace - 9/11 peace events are encouraged to showcase for the world that a just and peaceful world is being built as a response to the 9/11 tragedy.

Just Response, an Information Clearinghouse – Current news, articles and perspectives for anyone interested in a just and effective response to the tragic attacks of 9/11 and prevent further suffering of innocent people. “The struggle against terrorism is best fought as an international criminal prosecution not as a conventional military attack. Unilateral military strikes or the use of large-scale military force will not achieve the desired objectives and may do more harm than good. Indiscriminate military force would cause high casualties among innocent populations and further enflame anti-American hatred, creating new recruits for those who have launched these attacks. Limited military action may be necessary at a latter stage, if states continue to harbor suspects or refuse to cooperate in building an effective anti-terrorism regime, but such action should come only in concert with other nations and with the authority of the UN Security Council.”
