Religions For Peace

United Religions Initiative - This international organization promotes enduring, daily interfaith cooperation to end religiously motivated violence and to create cultures of peace, justice and healing for the Earth and all living beings. Since its beginning in 1995, more than a million people in more than sixty countries have participated in URI activities.

The World Conference on Religion and Peace - The WCRP is the largest international coalition of representatives from the world's great religions who are dedicated to achieving peace. It is active on every continent and in some of the most troubled places on earth, creating multi-religious partnerships that mobilize the moral and social resources of religious people to address their shared problems.

The Fellowship of Reconciliation – One of the oldest organizations dedicated to promoting interfaith cooperation for peace.

Fellowship Special 9/11 Issue - Fellowship is the oldest peace journal in the United States. Begun in 1918, this bimonthly interfaith magazine of nonviolence contains articles and information that inspire and educate people concerned about peace, justice, and compassion in the world.

The Life & Peace Institute – LPI is ecumenical center for peace research and action. Its principal goal is to support the work of churches in the fields of peace, justice and reconciliation.

Pace e Bene – Their resource book “From Violence to Wholeness” is a well-known and widely used guide for small groups who want to journey together in developing cultures of non-violence, inspired by religion. Many great links and references on this site.
